Too Many Burdens

burden

You may sometimes feel your burdens are too much
That they cause you worries, heartaches, and such
You go to bed each night with problems on your mind
Hoping by the break-of-day some relief you’ll find

Everyone’s life is touched by trials and tribulations
That sometime leads to a life of quite desperation
A kind of doom and gloom permeates the soul
So much so that you put your life on hold

But God never gives us more than we can bare
Don’t be afraid to call on Him in your darkness hour
Place your trust in Him and your troubles He will hear
He will help lift your spirits and calm your fears

One Solitary Life

One_Solitary_Life2Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another village. He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He was an itinerant preacher.

He never owned a home. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials but Himself…

While still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied Him. He was turned over to His enemies. He went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed upon a cross between two thieves. While He was dying His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth – His coat. When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Twenty long centuries have come and gone, and today He is a centerpiece of the human race and leader of the column of progress.

I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that were ever built; all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as has that one solitary life.

The Tiny Frogs

frogThere was once a bunch of tiny frogs, who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants.

The race began…

No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. They shouted, “Oh, way too difficult!!! They will NEVER make it to the top” and “Not a chance. The tower is too high”.

The tiny frogs began collapsing, one by one except for those who, in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher….

The crowd continued to yell, “It’s too difficult! No one will make it!”

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up… But one continued higher and higher. This one wouldn’t give up! And he reached the top.

Everyone wanted to know how this one frog managed such a great feat.

The secret is? This little frog was deaf!!

The wisdom of this story is:

In our lives we often meet many people who underestimating our capability. Sometimes we need to deafen or close our ears from the utterance or opinions of others who can make us pessimists. Ignore the pessimism of others. It can take your dreams from you. Stay positive. God has given us the ability to deal with any difficulties.
