Psalm 23 ( Another Thought)

Psalm 23

This morning I got a surprise from my fiancé. He gave me a bouquet of roses. The surprise was not just because of the roses’ bouquet but there is a card that reads Psalm 23.  For me this is an eye opener. Probably we never thought nor looked at this Psalm 23 in this way even though we say it over and over again.

The Lord is my Shepherd

 – That’s Relationship!

I shall not want

 – That’s Supply!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.

   – That’s Rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

That’s Refreshment!

He restoreth my soul

  – That’s Healing!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness.

 – That’s Guidance!

For His name sake

  – That’s Purpose!

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

 – That’s Testing!

I will fear no evil.

  – That’s Protection!

For Thou art with me

  – That’s Faithfulness!

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me,

 – That’s Discipline!

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

That’s Hope!

Thou anointest my head with oil,

That’s Consecration!

My cup runneth over.

 – That’s Abundance!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

That’s Blessing!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord.

 – That’s Security!

Forever!

 – That’s Eternity!

Let the Word of the Lord speak to you and bless you everyday. Ask God for wisdom that comes from Him so you may see things in the spiritual way & not in the flesh – the truth will be revealed to you in such a way that it will consume your being and you will Rejoice in his presence.
    AMEN!!

  2. Psalm 23 is one of my favorites. If you’re into books, I highly recommend Philip Keller’s “A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23.” It’s a little book, but has a big message. Always enjoy your posts.

God’s best to you, dear sister.

Read this beautiful post from Karina who is blessed with a wonderful fiancé, not only thoughtful and loving, but who shares her love for the Lord. He gave her roses and a card about Psalm 23 which will bless you!

  4. Yes, and there is more about this shepherd.

    He is the good shepherd…

    He is the great shepherd….

    He is the chief shepherd….

The intimate distinctions of scripture point to a careful God, a guarded book of truth, and a divinely inspired portrait of he whose name is
    Wonderful.
