Unchanging Word

Unchanging word

Feelings come and feelings go,
And feelings are deceiving;
My warrant is the Word of God—
Naught else is worth believing.

Though all my heart should feel condemned
For want of some sweet token,
There is One greater than my heart
Whose Word cannot be broken.

I’ll trust in God’s unchanging Word
Till soul and body sever,
For, though all things shall pass away,
HIS WORD SHALL STAND FOREVER!

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

  1. I love this poem!! Great work! I love poetry 😀
    I love the message here too. God’s word will always prevail even through all this war and corruption going on now, there will always be a group of people who will believe, follow and live by the truth! 🙂

  2. Reblogged this on FOR THE LOVE OF GOD and commented:
    As I was looking for a picture that would compliment a poem another Christian Brother wrote, I ran across this picture and thus the article from my long-time Sister in Christ, Karina.

    I don’t believe in luck but rather the leading of the Holy Spirit. He truly led me to this complimentary article. I hope you all are as blessed by it as I am! Thank you Sis for sharing this! God Bless!
