Faith That Endures

Faith that endures is faith that is pure–
A sweet fruit from above;
It is the substance of things hoped for–
A gift of God’s great love.
It’s the evidence of things not seen,
And when our faith is strong,
There is no valley we can’t walk through…
Singing a joyful song!

Faith that endures is faith that assures
Others that they can cope;
It reaches out in true compassion
With God’s message of hope.
It gives courage in face of danger,
removing every fear;
and in times of trouble it gives strength…
Keeping our vision clear.

Faith that endures is faith that secures
the soul eternally;
it’s the channel through which we believe
and by grace are set free.
Oh, friend, let us look unto Jesus
Who saves from darkness grim,
Author and Finisher of our faith…
It is all about Him.

“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrew 12:2)
