The Missing Watch

Pocket_Watch_There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him.

After searching high and low among the hay for a long while; he gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn.

He promised them that the person who found it would be rewarded.

Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the entire stack of hay but still could not find the watch. Just when the farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance.

The farmer looked at him and thought, “Why not? After all, this kid looks sincere enough.”

So the farmer sent the little boy back in the barn. After a while the little boy came out with the watch in his hand! The farmer was both happy and surprised and so he asked the boy how he succeeded where the rest had failed.

The boy replied, “I did nothing but sit on the ground and listen. In the silence, I heard the ticking of the watch and just looked for it in that direction.”

A peaceful mind can think better than a worked up mind. Allow a few minutes of silence to your mind every day, and see, how sharply it helps you to set your life the way you expect it to be!

A few years ago I and my family on holiday to new zealand. One of the tourist attractions that we visited was the Waitomo Caves. The one of beautiful caves in the world. And this is the one of amazing God creation

The Waitomo Glowworm Caves were first explored in 1887 by local Maori Chief Tane Tinorau accompanied by an English surveyor Fred Mace. Local Maori people knew of the Caves existence, but the subterranean caverns had never been extensively explored until Fred and Tane went to investigate. They built a raft of flax stems and with candles as their only lighting, floated into the cave where the stream goes underground.

As they entered the caves, their first discovery was the Glowworm Grotto with its myriad of tiny bright lights dotting the cave ceiling. As their eyes adjusted to the darkness, they saw a multitude of lights reflecting off the water. Looking up, they discovered that the ceilings were dotted with the lights of thousands of glowworms. Debris and logs littered the waterway, but by poling themselves toward the embankment they were able to leave the raft and explore the lower levels of the cave. Here they found themselves surrounded by the glorious cave decorations.

Jubilant at their discovery, they returned many times to explore further, and on an independent trip Chief Tane discovered the upper level of the cave and an easier access. Only after many subsequent visits did they discover an entry point on land. This is the same entry point used today by thousands of visitors annually. By 1889 Tane Tinorau had opened the cave to tourists. Visitor numbers soared and Chief Tane and his wife Huti escorted groups through the cave for a small fee. In 1906 the administration of the cave was taken over by the government.

The Caves Today – 100 years later

In 1989, almost 100 years later, the land and the cave was returned to the descendants of the original owners.  Many staff employed at the caves today is direct descendants of Chief Tane Tinorau and his wife Huti.

True Love

You cannot find the meaning of love by yourself alone. Because you can recognize the meaning of love only if you are in love with someone. Love is just a word until or unless someone comes along in your life and gives it a meaning. This is such an energy that can neither be created nor destroyed. But the best love is the one that makes you a better person without changing you into someone other than yourself. It’s not the presence of someone who brings meaning to your life. Rather, it’s the way someone touches your heart that gives your life a beautiful meaning.

It’s almost impossible to find the best suitable definition of love. Because it’s a mysterious feelings and it’s different for everyone. It’s a question which has been asked for millions of times on this planet. It’s a question which has millions of answers and people are still searching for the meaning of love. So what is the real meaning of love? How can you understand when you are in love with someone? So let’s find out the definition of love and discover some of its unique Characteristics.

Love trusts someone More Than Yourself.

The best proof of love is trust. It’s about trusting someone enough to talk about everything about yourself. It includes the things you might be ashamed of saying to someone else. Trust takes years to build. So when you give someone the power to destroy you, you are in love.

When you fully trust a person without any doubt, you are in love. The way you trust someone defines how much you love the person. It also helps you realize and recognize the meaning of love.

True Love is always Unconditional.

True love is always unconditional. It means wishing others to be happy. This is about what we give not what we get. Anyone who loves in the expectation of being loved in return is wasting their time. True love can only grow in the soil of respect, acceptance and unconditional feelings. Unconditional love doesn’t expect rewards. It doesn’t demand anything from you.

True Love is Committed.

This is not just a feeling. It is a strong commitment to be there. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are. There is a big difference between interest and commitment. Because when you are interested in doing something, you do it only when it’s convenient. But when you are committed to something, you accept no excuses. True love accepts no excuses and this is how a strong commitment defines the true meaning of love.

True Love Never Fades Away.

Love comes when you care more about whom the other person really is, rather than who you think they should become. This is why true love never fades away. True love never dies, even if you have found a new love. The sweet memories of the past will continue to hunt you for the rest of your life. It’s very difficult to forget your first love as long as your love is true.

So you can understand that love is an emotion of a strong affection and personal attachment. This is a very complex feeling. So its complexity makes it difficult to define. You can understand the meaning of love when you feel a strong affection and personal attachment with someone.

“Love is to commit oneself without guarantee, to give oneself completely in the hope that our love will produce love in the loved person. Love is an act of faith, and whoever is of little faith is also of little love.”- Erich Fromm.

True love means that you care for another person‘s happiness more than your own happiness. It doesn’t matter how painful the choices you face might be. It begins where nothing is expected in return. It means finding the beauty in someone’s imperfections. Sometimes love is just a word that we use to express our genuine feelings of attachment with someone. But still, the meaning of love is far away to be defined.

Is This the True Meaning of Love?

Probably yes. This is the meaning of love. In search of a suitable definition of love, we have discovered that it’s a deep personal feeling that we can share only with someone whom trust. It’s a very complex feeling that cannot be described easily. The meaning of love is vague and yet, so simple. This is such a mysterious feeling that we can never touch its true essence even with our profound definitions.

This is such an amazing feelings that you truly care for someone. Their mistakes never change your feelings. Because it’s the mind that gets angry but the heart still cares. Love is what makes two people sit in the middle of a bench even if there is plenty of room at both ends.

So, to define love in the best way possible and find out the real meaning of love, we have realized that love is not just a four letter word but it has so many meanings behind it. And which of those definitions is the best one is almost impossible to say.

Authors, philosophers, poets and even scientists have tried to define love for millions of times on this planet. But, what is the meaning of love is not something to learn. What most people need to learn is not the definition of love, but how to love people and use things instead of using people and loving things.

Count your Blessing

The little girl who had to use a basketball as her prosthetic body:

In 2000, Qian Hongyan, was injured tragically in a car accident when she was only 3 years old. To insure her survival, the doctors were forced to amputate her legs.

Qian’s family, living in Zhuangxia, China, was unable to afford modern prosthetic and instead used half a basketball to get around on. Once on the ball she uses two wooden props to help her move around. She struggled to live her life with a basketball as an under prop, ‘walking’ between school and home by herself.

Qian Hongyan, who was forced to use half a basketball as her prosthetic body, inspired millions with her ambition to compete as a swimmer in the 2012 Paralympics in London. The girl’s story got widely reported in the country, and drew the attention of the Ministry of Public Security and China Rehabilitation Research Center.

Qian now has a pair of proper prosthetic legs, but still says she likes to use the basketball from time to time as it is easier for her to get in and out of the pool.

May God bless the brave little girl who has inspired millions the world over with her resolute will power
