A Hug Can Save a Life

Twin girls, Brielle and Kyrie, were born12 week ahead of their due date. Needing intensive care, they were placed in separate incubators. Kyrie began to gain weight and her health stabilized. But Brielle, born only 2 lbs, had trouble breathing, heart problems and other complications. She was not expected to live.

Their nurse did everything she could to make Brielle’s health better, but nothing she did was helping her. With nothing else to do, their nurse went against hospital policy and decided to place both babies in the same incubator.

She left the twin girls to sleep and when she returned she found a sight she could not believe. She called all the nurse and doctors and this is what they saw (see the photos below). As Brielle got closer to her sister, Kyrie put her small little arm around her, as if to hug and support her sister.

From that moment on, Brielle’s breathing and heart rate stabilized and her health become normal. Well, I was wondering how’s possible… It seems too miraculous to be true…

The moral: A little bit of tender love goes A long way. Show affection & love to all,

Never ignore the one who loves you.

  1. Identical twins spend their pre-birth life able to touch one another and they have the same DNA. Maybe the closeness made the twin feel more normal, so her brain produced chemicals to strengthen her health.

I’m not saying that isn’t a God-ordained miracle, but that the miracle is that God made human beings that way long before these two babies were conceived. THAT’S a miracle.

  3. This makes perfect sense to me. Twins spend time together in the womb so why would they not miss each other outside it? That being said, let us all learn from these little angels.

  4. God works in mysterious ways, Karin. If we doubt that, or forget about it, we are reminded that it is true by stories like this one. Every day, medical professionals are discovering the health benefits of faith in God for the needy and sick.

The words and promises of God concerning this have always been in the bible. When will people learn?

    Steve 🙂

    • Hello brother..
Thank you 🙂 Yes you were so true. God works in mysterious and unbelievable ways. I strongly believe that God’s has been touching these babies so they can alive. Thank you for your insightful comment, brother. Always makes me ponder 🙂 have a great day.

      • Glad you ponder some of the things I say. We all are left to ponder the things of God. His entire will cannot be known to us, but we can see His goodness in many things if we will only look.

        Enjoy your evening, sis!
